China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) is a key national information construction project aimed at realizing the goal of sharing and disseminating knowledge resources across all of society. It was initiated by Tsinghua University and Tsinghua Tongfang Company and established in June 1999. With the support of the Ministry of Education, the Publicity Department, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the General Administration of Press and Publication, the National Copyright Administration, and the State Planning Commission, academic communities from across the nation, the education sector, the publishing industry, the library and information science communities, and other related communities have been able to closely cooperate with each other, and after years of hard work and the development of digital library technology, have created the “CNKY Digital Library,” the largest full-text information database in the world.

Tourism, Culture and Museum Company, CNKI (hereafter referred to as Zhiwang Wenbo) is affiliated with Tongfang Knowledge Network Technology Company, Ltd. (Beijing). Zhiwang Wenbo is committed to the management and dissemination of information by digitization, in the fields of culture studies and museum management, as well as providing technological and knowledge services. It also aims to support cultural and museum institutions and industry authorities in their goals to manage and utilize public, institutional and personal knowledge, by helping them with developing strategy, academic research, service innovation, and talent development. Zhiwang Wenbo is focused on helping organizations and individuals realize the digitization of cultural and museum resources, long-term digital preservation, integration and sharing, digital displays, and building online digital museums, and web portals for cultural tourism and for educational resources.
