During the whole week, the group members ate and lodged at the archaeological work site, staying at dormitories, eating together in a communal setting, and also lining up to take showers. It was a full field work experience for them!

On the road back home after a day at the site.

A view from an evening stroll—an opportunity for students to get to know the area.

Visiting Xiongjiazhong Tomb, a Warring-States Period site.

Visiting Shijiahe, a Neolithic period site. Being introduced to the site by Mr. Xiang Qifang.

At a lecture given by Mr. Meng Huaping of the Hubei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology.

It was a week that flew by, but it gave us great memories and invaluable experiences. We hope that those who came can come back again to visit, to have an even longer period of field work practice! With the end of this event, we thank you to all the individuals and organizations who were involved!
