The excavation of tombs number 16, 17, and 18

Starting in April 2016, Henan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology began excavation of three tomb sites that had been plundered in Chengyang. The whole processes of excavation and study and preservation of discovered cultural relics were documented, and at the same time the principles of public archaeology were put into practice, through the live broadcasting through Weibo of part of the procedures. This summary outlines the whole archaeological process and the results, including the excavation rundown, important discoveries, on-site artifact preservation, and the integration of the discipline of archaeology with technology.
